Whitish not be underestimated. Can lead to sterility and cancer. Almost every woman has experienced it. Data on women's reproductive health research shows 75% of women in the world would suffer from vaginal discharge at least once in their lifetime and 45% of them could experience it as much as two times or more.
Basically, under normal circumstances, organ vagina produces fluid that is actually clear, odorless, colorless, and the amount is not excessive. This fluid serves as a natural protection system, reduce the friction in the vaginal wall when walking and during sexual intercourse. Who is the whiteness is a symptom of disease characterized by discharge from the reproductive organs and not a form of blood. Whitish vaginal discharge that is not dangerous is normal. This is because there is an infection caused by germs, bacteria, fungal or mixed infections. Vaginal discharge can also be caused by mechanical stimulation of contraceptives, causing excess fluid. In this white type, the liquid that comes out yellow-green. Usually accompanied by itching and odor.
Abnormal vaginal discharge was found in newborns until the age of approximately 10 days which is due to the influence of estrogen on the uterus and vagina mother fetus, when the fetus is still inside the womb, an adult woman when she is stimulated time when having vaginal intercourse and the first menstruation.
Actually there are female genital organ in the body's defense mechanism in the form of the bacteria that maintain the vaginal pH acidity. Normally the number of vaginal acidity ranges from 3.8 to 4.2. Most, up to 95% of the bacteria Lactobacillus and the rest is a bacterial pathogen (disease causing).
Usually when a balanced ecosystem in the state, will not interfere with bacterial pathogens. New problems arise when these acidic conditions down alias greater than 4.2. Lactobacillus bacteria failed to match the bacterial pathogen. Ends, mushrooms will prevail and there was white. Data on women's reproductive health research shows 75% of women in the world would suffer from vaginal discharge at least once in their lifetime and 45% of them can experience it as much as two times or more.
Other causes of vaginal discharge is the use of tight clothing or underwear made of synthetic material. Moreover, if left in wet conditions, for example, clothes worn after exercise will support the growth of fungi. So also with the use of spray or deodorant to genitals should be aware they are vulnerable to change the acidity of the vagina. In addition, fatigue and stress can also trigger vaginal discharge. And almost every woman, especially in big cities are vulnerable to stress.
Unfortunately, although urban women are often ashamed to seek treatment medicine, so that not a few who think white is normal and does not need to be treated. Though whiteness could be early signs of more severe disease, of vaginal candidiasis, gonorrhea, chlamydia, infertility and cancer. Vaginal discharge that is not treated immediately will cause pelvic inflammatory disease complications of protracted and can lead to sterility (infertility) because of damage and blockage of the oviduct. Other causes of vaginal discharge other than an infection is the presence of foreign bodies, namely the existence of dirt or soil grains on the children or tertinggalnya condoms or other object used or due to time coitus rubber booster (pesarium) used to prevent the uterus down. So also in menopausal women where the cells of the vagina impediment in cell maturation due to the absence of estrogen so that the vaginal dryness itching often arise because of thin layers of cells arise so easily wound and concomitant infection.
And most importantly if a vaginal discharge that does not heal with normal treatment (antibiotics and anti-fungal) to think about whiteness is caused by a malignant disease such as cervical cancer. This is usually marked with a lot of fluids, foul odors, often accompanied by blood is not fresh.
